This Week's Goals

"Specific goals for this week: Create etsy.com shop. Look over my writings to see what might be ready to go out into the world. Go to bartender John's Labor Day party."

Okay, time to do a status update. Thanks to being sick, I've struck off the party. However, I've replaced it with a state fair outing with my brother, so I'm still calling that one a win. I've picked a couple of potential submission pieces, so I've met that one. Most exciting of all, I've got an etsy.com shop http://www.etsy.com/shop.php?user_id=5284452

I have to admit, it's rather strange to describe one's own work in glowing terms, but hey, that's advertising, right? Besides, I like to think of it as a writing exercise. I'm working out my descriptive muscles today.

You misspelled "satisfaction." I don't know what a "satisfation" is, but it sounds dangerous.

I always think that this sort of thing ought to be differenced from all the other similar sorts of things that there are out there. For instance: if you put a dash--which is smaller than a quarter teaspoon, mind--of cleverness into your "usually ships within two days" bit, what's that going to do? I'll tell you: it'll give your consumers a reason to tell their friends about it. "I was shopping for jewelry, and I found this site with this cleverness on it." says person one. "Did you buy something from it?" asks person two. "Hell no, I'm amish. But it was clever, and now I'm telling you."

Thanks for pointing out the typo. Typos are bad when one is trying to look professional.

I'll think about that cleverness one... hrm... clever...

"Hell no I'm [A]mish."

Okay, so I chuckled for a good five minutes over this one. (Those of you who know me know how much I love to chuckle, giggle, guffaw, or laugh until I choke, cry, or wet my pants.) Whittaker, I don't know you, but I do enjoy your sense of humor.
