I'll Take The One About Demonic Forces, Please

In order to aid my work on the new stories, I've started to hit the library. Today I went to the branch by campus and picked up a few to get me started. I've gotta say that checking out a handful of books with things like "voodoo" and "witchcraft" in the titles made me feel like I was an angsty goth teen. I was slightly embarrassed.

I had to fight the impulse to loudly announce to everyone in earshot, "It's not what you think! I'm a writer. It's research."

I'm hitting the main branch tomorrow to pick up a copy of a nifty book called Lucifer Ascending. I should wear black lipstick to do it, don't you think?

I know how you feel. I'm constantly putting books on hold about the inquisition, weird religious sects, gnosticism, Islam, terrorism, etc. All processed by my colleagues at work. No wonder they make the sign for the evil eye when they see me. Well, not quite, but it still may happen. It doesn't make me stop, though.

Depending on your topic, let me know what you need. I have quite a few books in my metaphysical library.

And I won't look at you funny if you borrow them. Or any funnier than I already look.

Lol, yeah. Oh well, at least I'm not too bothered by the slant-ways looks.
